Well finished the first week, and I kept getting up early and going to bed early, if this keeps up I will end up with no life. We had to wander around, at first in a line, (How school marks us.) and everyone had a good nosey at the new kids. I also got my headset, very modern and SF looking to this lad. The dress in the place is easy going, many people are in T-shirts, we were told no slogans or football shirts but I saw a few sneaking in here and there. Me I wore a shirt all week, it's the only place I can wear one, plus most of my T-shirts have slogans or horror films on them. The training was ok, but as Moods said it's hard to teach us new tricks and boy is it tiring trying to cram in new stuff. Still one week down of the ten week training, I've not been bollocked for anything so that's good, and that's at least one week's money in the bank, and boy does the bank account look poorly. Went for a Chinese last night, could afford it really but what the hell, I could eat the steamed dumplings till the cow's come home. And had several pints of Sam Smith's quality Bitter. Not a bad end to and scary week. I am dreading going live on the phones but, hey ho. Moo. Tags: beer, food, work Current Location: Home Current Mood: cheerful Current Music: Quiet someone is asleep

Just finished the last of my stash of Martmite with a hint of Champagne, was nice and not as bitter as normal Marmite, back on the hard stuff tomorrow. Last night of peace before work on Wednesday, dread and horror. Upto to the evil tower and will sit in a little ante chamber on the seventh floor. Now enumerate for me.... Just down a teat for HM Customs and I've made a right pig of it. Hate Tests.
It was a data entry test, I'm a slow typer at the best of times but I went to pieces. Plus i kept hitting the caps lock instead tab and vice versa. So kept having to go back and correct things, I'd even get a third of the way through the test.
Pig swill and billy goat dropping to it.
Plus city got beat, I expected us probably to go down 1 - 0, 'cos we can't hit a cow's arse with a banjo, but 4 - 2 I know we're unpredictable but come on.
Plus the manager fell out with the chief exec. but the manager stated he would stay, plus we lost the first leg of Euro tie but Danish part-time models. I ask you. We had our arses kicked by Zoolander. I think this sphinx cat is gonna get a lot more outing before the end of the season.
So I'm listening to American Pie, nothing like songs about plane crashes to cheer one up.
We had the Hulme Carnival go by and watched from the balcony. Splendid steel bands, some lovely lasses in Rio style costumes shaking their but. Sometimes it's really special living here in Mancdom.
Later it rained, the other day a bloke was using a bit of carpet to keep the rain off. So we bused of to town to watch The Dark Knight. Splendid film. Ledger was good but it's not the joker, sorry. 2 face they got spot on. Saw on the IMAX, which was excellent. The opening shots looked better than some 3-D I've seen but it wasn't. the only problem with IMAX is if one part of the shot is in focus there are acres out of focus, having your film of vision out of focus when your brain tells you, your eyes are in focus is enough to send you of your head. One part of the brain is going it all wrong burble, one part is screaming stop it it's fine and you can feel you eyes going backward and forth like a giddy zoom lens as hey try desperately try to focus, sanctuary is finding the bit in focus, which is usually Morgan Freeman.
I need new shoes, my only decent pair now leak. The only pair that don't cripple my feet. Bah and humbug.
Still had a lovely Chinese meal. The Worrier treated me. We also had hot ginger coke, nice on a rainy night.

The rain in Manchester has finally stopped, the Roses Match (Cricket.) was due to start today but got rained away. It was a long splendid storm with thundery and likening. Sadly The Worrier was drenched on her way home, she came in all drippy and ickle so the kettle went on. Guess what? It stopped raining as soon as she got in, after raining for hours. oh dear. Sun-maid raisins, lovely. Our kid gave me one of those little boxes, the look great. Well applied for some more application forms. the fun never stops, Research post for Transport in Manchester and a research post for the police. Well lets see if I get them this time. Been listening to BBC7's Catch My Breath, via the listen again. Contemporary horror story set in a remote Scottish country house. Written by Marty Ross.
Not bad at all, very mysterious. Not heard it all but it seems to involve a Calvinist view of sin witha mix of zombies set in the sticks in Scotland. I think I can see the twist coming though. All very Scottish, Marty Ross is fast becoming one of the top genre writers for radio, not that there is much competion. Moo.
