When the Worrier was away I went to see Monkey at the Palace. Splendid, it a mad mix of stuff; plate spinning, chinese opera, acrobats, Hewlett's animation some of it mixed with live action esp. the underwater scene. We went and saw a romantic little film, 28 Weeks Later. Nice little addition to the Brit. Horror pantheon. Not without plot holes and the odd annoyance but it looks good and gets the Worrier thumb up. I like it. My father in law is out of hospital and is currently staying at a friends in Lisbon, so things look well there. Well I signed on again, but the job starts again in Sept. but I hope get something in the mean time, anything really. Went round to little sis's and watched play Misty For Me, I prefer this to Fatal Attraction, love Eastwood using the the hippy 'man' a fair bit. Bit slow to start but a good little movie. Got American Gothic. It's good but has problems. The colour pics are not special to say the least, and the slant on some of them is just annoying. The 50's section is poor. Sunset Blvd. is not a horror film, oh look the hand exercise in Mad love is like the beauty treatment in... No. The association with other films won't work. (Cheers for the arguing tips Snapes.) The index is still rubbish but at least the first half is good unlike the British Gothic. Well that's it from me for now. Moo.
