Well it's been an odd time.

Was attacked on my way home this Monday, a few punches in the head and a kick in the back, all for having a bit an arguement with my wife while walking home.

I've been reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Better than the last one. Hey up to date me.

I keep going on the net and this and the BHF site keep crashing or going slower than a Sunday in the 70's. The rest seem ok.

I can't wait for the start of the Manchester's Festival of Fantastic Film. It looks better than last years already and I know the organisation can't be as bad as last year.

Well fingers crossed and I'll let you know.

My father in law is much better.

Nadia hates her job, to add insult to injury, she did not get the permanant post (17 went for 11 places.) of the 17 4 were famale and not one made it. A lad who has been there less than a year got a place, Nadia has been with the firm almost 3, 2 years at this job. One lass has been doing it for almost 4 years. Two of th lasses have gone on the sick. To be honest the whole thing stinks.

Well speak to you all soon,

Wayne.

Moo. I just stop mooing you know.

Well the contract finished and I'm unemployed again. The work begins in Sept. but I'm trying to get work before then and before lethargy takes a hold.

I keep meaning to do stuff but I just keep drifting off into space, any ideas how I can get my arse into gear??

Just bought the Polanski box set and The Innocents. naughty, I'm going to have to stop doing that.

Well end of next month is The manc. Festival of Fantastic Film they are showing Captain Kronos and Dr. jekyll and Sister Hyde.

By the way caroline Munro is 61 and Martine Beswick is 67, now I do feel old.

The father in law is much better, still weak but he can walk about some.

Bought some more film books, oopppss. More FAB Press stuff.

And tomorrow I'm off to meet a friend in Mnachster to get drunk, oh the joys of unemployment.

Plus spoke to my father in law and he's a lot better. Sounds weak still, after 5 major operations a few weeks ago who wouldn't. He's still in Lisbon but hopes to be back at his home by the end of the week.

Now must go and look at The Worrier in the bath. ;-) to make sure she's alright. Having watched The Nanny last night one knows you just can't be too careful.

When the Worrier was away I went to see Monkey at the Palace. Splendid, it a mad mix of stuff; plate spinning, chinese opera, acrobats, Hewlett's animation some of it mixed with live action esp. the underwater scene.

We went and saw a romantic little film, 28 Weeks Later. Nice little addition to the Brit. Horror pantheon. Not without plot holes and the odd annoyance but it looks good and gets the Worrier thumb up. I like it.

My father in law is out of hospital and is currently staying at a friends in Lisbon, so things look well there.

Well I signed on again, but the job starts again in Sept. but I hope get something in the mean time, anything really.

Went round to little sis's and watched play Misty For Me, I prefer this to Fatal Attraction, love Eastwood using the the hippy 'man' a fair bit. Bit slow to start but a good little movie.

Got American Gothic. It's good but has problems. The colour pics are not special to say the least, and the slant on some of them is just annoying. The 50's section is poor. Sunset Blvd. is not a horror film, oh look the hand exercise in Mad love is like the beauty treatment in... No. The association with other films won't work. (Cheers for the arguing tips Snapes.) The index is still rubbish but at least the first half is good unlike the British Gothic.

Well that's it from me for now.

The Worrier has returned safe and sound. The Lamb is almost done and smells lovely, if I do say so myself.

Thanks for the support it's very much appreciated.

He's a lot better, is off intensive and is speaking well, I've spoken to him on the phone. He sounds weak but knows what going on. he won't eat much though, he says it hurts and he wants to go home. Now i know where The Worrier gets her stubbon pants from.

We might go and watch a film later.

Well my Father-in-Law is better.

He managed to walk but was in a great deal of pain. He has been moved from intensive care so things are looking up.

As I said before The Worrier is back in Blighty on Sunday, but I don't know what to buy her to eat on Sunday.

Got a letter from the social, they want £500+ paying that was paid to my sister after her death. It went into her bank account and I think there was debt in there. I'm gonna have to get in touch with her partner, but since she had me as next of kin I'm liable. I wish the b*st*rds would leave us alone.

Typical there is now some blue sky over manchester and I've just spent 4 out of 6 hours in the rain.

At the moment everything's on a downer.

After Bradford at the Fantastic Film Festival I thought I'd put the crap behind me.

But i can't put my sister death behind me so easily, but the recent suicide in the blocks on the day I found out about the death of a friend, Ken, lingers. To add to this I found out another friend died, a man I've known all my life and no one seems to know how he died, poor Cec.

Every time I speak to someone it's another death, Pat (another friend) just lost is dad.

Add to this my father in law is in hospital, quadruple heart-bypass, and a pacemaker. He needed a fifth operation to stop his heart bleeding. At least he is out of the coma but he is sedated all the time. My wife is there with him, but I can't. He's in Portugal and I'm in work. Still it looks like the contract runs out next week.

My wife though is scared she will lose her job and her brother and mum are putting pressure on her so he eczema has gone bad.

Oh damn. I just don't know what to do.

I'm still paying for my sister's funeral so that's a kick in the teeth every month.

After all this I still love life and my wife, married just over a year. She makes me happy whenever I think of her.
